Where to Help Prepare Thanksgiving Meals in Peabody

Here are some ways to volunteer locally.

If you're looking for a good place to volunteer in Peabody to help prepare Thanksgiving meals, try the city's food pantry Haven from Hunger.

Executive Director Alyse Barbash says she has enough volunteers already to serve meals at the pantry on Thanksgiving Day, but the Haven does prepare hundreds of turkey dinners that clients pick up or are delivered that week.

Dinner is also regularly served Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 5 p.m. and volunteers are always welcome to cook and/or serve a meal.

"We welcome all kinds of help, please call us," Barbash says. If you'd like to volunteer, call the pantry with the days and times you are available. The number is 978-531-1530.

Another place regularly in need of volunteers is the Peabody Council on Aging. You can find more information on online or call 978 531-2254.
