Holiday Giving Garden at Mall Open Through Friday

Five decorated Christmas trees represent five local charities and contain ornaments identifying gifts for those organizations that shoppers can purchase at the Liberty Tree Mall.

The Giving Garden at the Liberty Tree Mall makes holiday shopping for local charities a little easier.

Five trees are decked out to represent five local charities and have been sitting out in the Best Buy wing of the mall for the past month. Each tree contains ornaments identifying specific wishes for that organization.

Mall shoppers can choose an ornament and then purchase the item listed and bring the gift back to the Giving Garden by Dec. 20 to ensure delivery by Christmas.

Gifts can also be dropped off directly at each organization. This year it's Haven from Hunger, Operation Troop Support, Salvation Army Angel Tree, Toys for Tots and Hope on Wheels (run by Hyundai Village of Danvers).

The garden will remain on display through Dec. 27.
