The public is invited to attend an old-fashioned Summer Picnic hosted by the Committee to Re-Elect Ted Bettencourt Mayor at the Kennedy Field in West Peabody on Sunday, Aug. 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, drinks, popcorn and ice cream will be available. Live entertainment, children's bouncy house, haystack, crafts and face-painting are planned. A Hula Hoop Competition and Giant Egg Toss Championship Challenge will conclude the festivities and the winners will receive trophies from Mayor Bettencourt. All are welcome.
