Leather Workers Museum Arts & Crafts

Did you ever wonder why Peabody is reffered to as the Tanners? Until the mid 20th century, Peabody was the largest leather producter in the world. Remnants of this past economy can be found throughout the city as Peabody was home to over 100 tanneries in the 19th century. Come learn more about interesting local history and discover your inner leatherworker! Crafts will utilize local leather and are tailored to all skill levels.
