Hope for the Holidays

Hope
for the Holidays
is A3D's 8th Annual fundraiser to help children in West Africa and
local organizations. A3D (African Development
through Drum and Dance)
is a Salem-based non-profit organization headed by Salem resident and artist, Mamadou Diop, whose humanitarian efforts are well known
around town.

A3D
has a direct relationship with specific schools and medical facilities in
Senegal, West Africa and all of the proceeds from A3D events go directly to support those communities in need, with a portion always
granted to a local charitable organization.

Hope for the Holidays is a family-friendly dance party with food,
raffles, live music and performances. This year's performers include: Machine
475
, an artistic collaborative/electronica based
experimental band featuring live instruments such as sitar, violin,
didgeridoo, vocoder, guitar , bass and percussion over hypnotizing heavy
house/trance beats and softer melodic/atmospheric beats, Mahsati, a professional belly dance performer, instructor and
choreographer in the North Shore area and MAMADOU, led by Boston Music Award winner and A3D
President, Mamadou
Diop
(2011 International Artist of the year). MAMADOU is a West African World Fusion ensemble that
will get you to move. Their rhythms are irresistible and their music is
infectious, so be prepared to have a good time and bring your dancing shoes!

Tickets
are available online at www.a3dinc.org or
call Mamadou Diop at 978-509-4821. $25 per adult, $20 with student ID, children
