  • National Weather Service says snowfall may only collect between 2-4 inches tonight with another inch for the morning commute around Peabody. Cape Ann may see more snow.

8 p.m.

  • City declares snow emergency. No on-street parking until further notice.

3:53 p.m.

  • National Weather Service issues Winter Storm Warning for Essex County. Snow accumulation of 6-9 inches possible, and even a foot in some areas.

11 a.m.

  • Local forecasts predicting 4-8 inches of snow for Peabody area between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.
