Snow Expectations Lowered to 2-4 Inches or Less

An expected storm appears to have tracked east into the Atlantic. Meteorologists say we'll still get snow during the day Sunday.

Forecasters have lowered the amount of snow expected for Peabody.

Sunday morning's latest forecast from the National Weather Service indicates 1-3 inches of snow for Peabody. Patch news partner 7News says the North Shore as a whole might get 2-4 inches.

As to timing, expect rain before 9 a.m., becoming a mix of rain and snow between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., the Weather Service predicts. During the day we may see just an inch of accumulation, with the bulk of whatever snow we get piling up Sunday night to the tune of 1-3 inches.

Thanks, Saber. I woke up this morning needing to research it after I let my dog out and she came back wet with rain instead of snow!
