Public Invited to Attend Vigil for Sandy Hook Victims

A candlelight vigil will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. in front of City Hall.

Mayor Ted Bettencourt is inviting the public to attend a candlelight vigil this Thursday in memory of the victims of the .

The vigil will be held at 6 p.m. in front of Peabody City Hall.

“As we struggle to come to terms with such a senseless loss of precious life, we may find comfort in the company of fellow members of our community,” Bettencourt said.

“I invite all those who wish to honor the memory of the 26 victims of this tragedy to join with us in solemn vigil,” he said.
