You probably thought that the train tracks running through Peabody Square were totally abandoned, right? Well, you’d be wrong if you did.
It’s not often you see trains in the square these days, and in fact, it only happens about once a week.
Check out the videos of this freight train passing through the square on its way to Salem on the old Pan Am line. That rail line runs back past and Centennial Industrial Park.
