Peabody

Local developer Bob DeNisco is looking to breathe some new life into the rundown old L. Fine & Co. factory at 143 Lynnfield St. DeNisco is planning to refurbish the existing building and construct a new indoor recreational facility next to it. And in other local business news, Chris Wrenn and his Peabody-based company, Sully's Brand T-shirts, released some special edition tees to benefit victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

Salem

Construction is moving along at the site of an old church in town; in fact, the church building was finally knocked down last week to make way for a new cafe with apartments above it. Local fitness studio barre n9ne is also joining many other businesses in the area and gathering donations for victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. Tanya Croteau is offering "OneFund" sessions on Saturday.

Hamilton-Wenham

A reinvigorated proposal to allow a cinema at the MarketStreet development in town meets opposition from residents.

Wakefield

A number of Wakefield businesses were quick to show their support last month for locals who were injured in the Boston Marathon bombing by setting up fundraising drives.

Andover

Despite plans to build housing on the public golf course, the Rolling Green is open for business this season and management is encouraging area residents to come by. And in other news, we know there's an app for everything, so why not bar inventory control at your local bar or tavern?

North Andover

Legendary musician Joey Kramer is getting into the coffee biz. You heard right. And a lot of local businesses pitched in to help raise funds for The One Fund Boston, such as a cut-a-thon at J Michaels Salon & Spa that drew crowds all day long.
