Peabody Company Donates Stuffed Animals to Police

The stuffed animals will be used to help calm children during stressful situations.

Peabody's Cardinal Health recently donated about 60 new stuffed animals to the Peabody Police Department to give to children who are distressed during a time of crisis.

Employee Susan Thomson brought the idea to to Cardinal Health Compliance Manager John Kibbey. The business' Employee Activities Committee organized the effort, which will be an annual event.

The Peabody Police Department will use the donated items in area patrol cruisers that respond to critical events involving children that may have been involved in stressful or emotional situations, said Peabody Police.

Peabody Police Chief Robert St. Pierre thanked Cardinal Health.

“This type of program will assist the police department in continuing to enhance community relations.” said Chief St.Pierre.
