North Shore Bank Major Sponsor for Kid's Day

The local bank has financially supported the event for kids, which is part of the International Festival, for many years.

 is keeping up its practice of giving back to the community in small, but significant ways.

Once again, the local bank is the major sponsor of Peabody’s annual Kid's Day celebration and David LaFlamme and Michael Zellen stopped by Mayor Ted Bettencourt's office last week with a check for $1,500.

Kid's Day is held in conjunction with the city’s . The day of fun takes place on the  and includes food, games and entertainment for kids of all ages.

LaFlamme, the president and CEO of North Shore Bank, said the bank recognizes Kid's Day and the festival as a whole are important cultural events for the city and is happy to continue with its support. Zellen, a vice president at the bank, is also a co-chairman of the International Festival and a former city councilor.

Bettencourt, expressing his thanks for the continued support, said the festival, which draws tens of thousands to Peabody Square, is "one of the high points of the year" for the city.

This year's schedule for Kid's Day is as follows:

  • DJ Michael Phillips – 11 a.m.
  • Bruce McCorry’s Martial Arts – 11:30 a.m.
  • Children’s Show – 12:30 p.m.
  • Magic & Puppets by Steve – 1:30 p.m.
  • Children’s Shows – 2:30 p.m.
  • Mass Motion North – 3:15 p.m.
  • Phunk Phenomenon (Hip-Hop Dance) – 4 p.m.
