Honey Dew Donuts Prepping to Open in Peabody
If you're looking for a job in the donut business, the new shop is hiring for both full- and part-time positions.
Are you a fan of Honey Dew Donuts? If so, you'll be glad to know the new shop on the southbound side of Route 1 is finally getting ready to open.
The store is located at 130 Newbury St. in the bottom of a two-story retail mail being developed by Richard Marchese and which has been under construction for two years.
According to an update this week on the store's new Facebook page, hiring is underway. Assistant managers, bakers and counter help are needed, both in full- and part-time positions.
The donut shop will have a drive-through and free Wi-Fi for customers. Operating hours are 5 a.m. - 9 p.m. daily.
The Peabody location is also one of eight new Honey Dew stores this year. Other nearby locations are in Salem, Wakefield and Georgetown.
As for other tenants at 130 Newbury St., the bridal and women's apparel shop the Ultimate will occupy the entire second floor (10,000 square feet) and there were discussions at one point to bring in a national pizza chain.
The old Countryside Motel was razed at the site to make way for the new commercial building.
