Yard Waste Pickup is This Week

Set your leaves at the curb with your trash and recycling this week for pickup. Collection will be delayed one day, starting Thursday, due to Thanksgiving.

JRM will be collecting your yard waste again this week if you leave it at the curb.

Collection is on your regular trash and recycling day. Place your leaves and other yard waste in either a separate barrel or in a paper yard waste bag -- branches and twigs can be bundled -- and set it at the curb by 7 a.m.

Due to Thanksgiving, trash, recycling and leaf pickup will be delayed by one day this week, starting on Thursday. Thursday's pickup will be made Friday and Friday's pickup will be on Saturday.

The final week for fall curbside collection is the week of Dec. 2.

You can also drop off your yard waste at the Department of Public Services at 50 Farm Ave. during regular business hours, and on Fridays DPS will be open late (7 p.m.) through Dec. 6.

“During this peak period of fall leaf collection, we want to give residents some extra time to dispose of their yard waste,” says Mayor Ted Bettencourt.

Identification is required at the time of drop-off. No contractors or contractor vehicles will be allowed. For more information, call 978-536-0600.
