Church Outgrows Mall, Moves Over to West Peabody School

The Next Level has come to West Peabody at a private Christian school off Pine Street.

The Next Level Church, a new church plant in Danvers, has outgrown its space at the Liberty Tree Mall and has moved over to Covenant Christian Academy on Pine Street in West Peabody.

The Salem News reports that local minister Daniel King, who hails from Arizona, was on vacation with his wife in New Hampshire four years ago when they saw an ad for the original church in Newington. Next Level is an institution formed by Canadian league pro-basketball player Joshua Gagnon.

The church eventually expanded to Epping, N.H., Portland, Maine and the North Shore this past spring, where about 75 people had been meeting weekly in one of the movie theaters at the Liberty Tree Mall.

King, who lives in Topsfield now with his wife and children, tells the Salem News the church is mainly focused on reaching people who do not go to a church and maintains a "casual" and "fun" atmosphere.
