Young readers came out to the Book Blast at the Northshore Mall on Saturday.
There were plenty of activities. Kids enjoyed listening to stories written and read by children's book author Jane Sutton, a rhyming game with Sutton, and other coloring activities.
All Kidgits members received a library tote and two free books provided by Better World Books. They also had the opportunity to sign up for a library card with Peabody Library.
