Inroduction to Youth Rugby

Introduction to Sevens Rugby at Topsfield Arena 

The North Shore Youth RFC is currently enjoying Winter Indoor Sevens rugby at the Topsfield Arena. Exciting and fast flowing, it is the non-contact version of the Las Vegas Sevens rugby witnessed over the weekend of January 24th  on NBC and Universal Sports Network.. 

On Saturday, February 15th   between 4.00pm and 5.00pm the public are invited to watch Sevens rugby in the Topsfield Arena, and to talk with players and coaches, admission is free. Interested Elementary and High School students can register, there and then, to play rugby for the North Shore Youth Rugby Football Club in the Spring + Summer full contact or Flag Sevens and full contact Fifteens which gets underway in mid –April. The High School program will run through until mid-August and the Elementary program until the end of June.

This 2014 season sees the North Shore club field its first High School age group of players ranging from 15 to18years of age. The nucleus of this team, which is called the North Shore RFC- Colts, is in place and the club has begun recruiting to expand the squad.

There will be competitive games for this new group until Spring 2014, as well as mid –week fitness and conditioning and Sunday sessions of learning and development of basic skills. All coaches are certified and registered with USA Rugby.
