Bishop Fenwick High School is pleased to present their Spring Musical, Grease, on March 14, 15 and 16.

For over 40 years, Grease has proved that a musical love story, bursting with slick hairstyles, young romance, rock’n’roll, teenage angst, and cool cars is timeless and universal.

A cast of Fenwick students from all over the greater North Shore area will bring the 50’s back to life on the stage at Bishop Fenwick High School.

“The cast is all having so much fun together– including several students who have never performed on stage before, as well as faculty and staff taking on cameo roles.” says producer Laurel Weatherby, who is also an Art Teacher at the school. “It’s the perfect musical for high school students . . . playing high school students! It really shows that although the clothes and the slang may change, much of being a teenager is the same today as it was in the 50's!"

The nearly 50 students participating in the show include Renee Carraggi of Saugus as Patty Simcox, Curtis Craffey of Lynnfield as Kenickie, Nina Finocchiaro of Saugus as Rizzo, Nina Groom of Swampscott as Frenchy, Amanda Howard of Peabody as Marty, Lauren Nicholas of Peabody as Jan, Joshua Niconchuk of Peabody as Roger, Jhonathan Oliveira of Peabody as Sonny, Katherine Pollock of Danvers as Miss Lynch, Francesca Primavera of Lynnfield as Cha Cha, Nicholas Tambini of North Reading as Danny , Craig Tattan of Beverly as Eugene, Daniel Tremblay of Peabody as Doody, Michaela Tremblay of Beverly Jenny Casino and Paige Vigneron of Marblehead as Sandy.  Ensemble members include: Olivia Avery of Lynn , Tina Bartolomeo of Peabody , Nora Birner of Beverly , David Connolly of Peabody as Roger, Hadassah Cormier of Lynn , Derek Dellisola of Peabody , Nicholas Finan of Salem , Kelly Golden of Marblehead , Allyson Languirand of Peabody , Steven LaRochelle of Peabody , Arianna Maida of Peabody , Melissa Mejia of Revere , Lauren Page of Tewksbury (Dance Captain), Laura Pasquale of Wakefield , Erika Patnaude of Peabody , Olivia Petras of Peabody , Michela Prisco of North Reading , Talia Sabelli of Swampscott , Brandy Shabowich of Danvers , Allyson Shea of Peabody , Meghan Shinnick of Lynn and Twinkle-Murielle Yumasi of Peabody.

Tech and Stage Crew members include: Eric Loehle of Georgetown (Pianist), Conner Adams of Middleton, Kevin Barnum of Beverly , Julia Cook of Salem, Elizabeth Crowley of Danvers , Joseph D'Orazio of West Newbury , Marissa Giampietro of Danvers , Andrea MacGown of Ipswich , Domenic Ruocco of Peabody , Margaret Schlich of Amesbury, Steven Suchcicki of Danvers.

For Director Bob Gautreau, this is his second show with Fenwick. Gautreau, who received a Theater Education Degree from Emerson, is happy to be back working with the students of Bishop Fenwick.

The high school love story, written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, has thrilled audiences since breaking out on Broadway in 1972. Based on Jacobs' own experiences as an adolescent, Grease became a huge hit around the world thanks to the hit film starring Olivia Newton John and John Travolta. The show features all the unforgettable songs from the hit film including ‘You’re The One That I Want’, ‘Grease Is The Word’, ‘Summer Nights’, ‘Hopelessly Devoted to You’, ‘Sandy’, ‘Greased Lightnin’ and many more.

Grease will be performed at Bishop Fenwick High School, 99 Margin Street, Peabody, MA. Performance times are Friday March 14th at 7pm, Saturday March 15th at 7pm and Sunday March 16th at 2pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens and can be purchased at the door or online at www.fenwick.org/arts.
