Award-winning Author Hank Phillippi Ryan Spoke at PACC Annual Dinner & Ankeles Award Ceremony

Award-winning and bestselling crime fiction author Hank Phillippi Ryan gave a keynote speech at the 82nd Annual Dinner & Ankeles Award Ceremony of Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce (PACC) on Tuesday night (photos). The annual dinner is the premier gathering of the area's business leaders and law makers. Ryan talked about crime fiction, the inspiration for her latest book series, and her life as Boston's premier television investigative reporter.

Hank Phillippi Ryan is the on-air investigative reporter for Boston's NBC affiliate. She's won 30 EMMYs, 12 Edward R. Murrow awards and dozens of other honors for her ground-breaking journalism. A bestselling author of six mystery novels, Ryan has won multiple prestigious awards for her crime fiction: the Agathan, Anthony, Macavity, and most recently, the coveted Mary Higgins Clark Award. Her newest thriller, THE WRONG GIRL, released on Sept. 10, is now a Boston Globe bestseller. She is on the national board of Mystery Writers of America and 2013 president of national Sisters in Crime.
