Traffic Detour Tuesday on County Street; Expect Delays or Find Alternate Route

Today is Tuesday, Aug. 6. Here are five things to know today in Peabody.

  1. Detour at County Street: Peabody police say public works crews will be making road repairs to County Street Tuesday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Traffic will be detoured and motorists should expect delays. The police urge motorists to find alternate routes if possible.
  2. It's market day again for the Peabody Farmers Market from 1-6 p.m. in front of City Hall.
  3. There's a special guest lined up for Wednesday's session of Rec & Roll. Karen Grenier will provide some musical activities for kids from 9-11 a.m. at the park at the McCarthy School.
  4. Wednesday night looks perfect for another car show at the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers. Cruisin' to the Tree starts at 4 p.m. in the rear parking lot at the mall (next to the police station).
  5. The Night of 1,000 Customers is this Friday at the McDonald's on Endicott Street in Danvers. The promotion, which includes 24-cent hamburgers and more, benefits Northeast Clinical Services.
