Before they headed to Canada this past weekend, the Peabody Veterans Memorial High School Chorale gave a special performance to residents at Brooksby Village. The chorale won a Gold Medal at the Massachusetts Instrumental and Chorale Conductors Association (MICCA) Festival on April 1, which earned the group a chance to perform at Boston's Symphony Hall as well as at St. Joseph's Oratory and the Notre Dame Cathedral in Montreal. The chorale performed "Cum Sancto Spiritu" by Antonio Vivaldi, "Ubi Caritas" by Maurice Durufle and "Walking on the Green Grass" by Michael Hennagin in the 20-minute set at Symphony Hall.
