Woman Says She Was Assaulted in Woods

The following is an excerpt from the Peabody Police log:

Sunday, Nov. 6

  • At 2:06 p.m. police issued a summons to a 33-year-old Peabody resident on charges of assault and battery. A 26-year-old Danvers resident was also issued a summons on charges of assault and battery.
  • Police received a call at 2:45 p.m. after a person witnessed a man “beating” a woman in a car. The person drove off and came back without the woman. Police found the unoccupied car over the line in Salem.
  • At 3:46 p.m. a woman told police she was attacked by two men in the woods near Farm staff used their four-wheelers to check the woods for suspects but found no one.
  • At 7:19 a resident of Lynn Street reported their home was broken into and jewelry stolen.
  • At 7:43 p.m. two men were arguing on Main Street. One man tripped over the other man’s dog leash. The man who tripped, was checked out by emergency personnel. Both men were sent on their way.
  • At 8:41 p.m. police arrested Greg A. Kobor, 32, 42 Boston St., Salem, was arrested on a warrant.

  • At 12:46 a.m. a resident of Lynnfield Street reported their lawnmower was stolen from the side of their house.
  • A 26-year-old Middleton man was issued a summons at 1 a.m. on charges of failure to stop/yield, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving with an expired license.
  • At 8:04 a.m. an Aborn Street resident reported her car stereo was stolen overnight.
  • At 10:28 a.m. illegal dumping was reported on Walnut Street.
  • At 10:34 a.m. illegal dumping was reported on Andover Street.
