For the average driver, the first inclination when he or she sees a car swerving all over the road is to get as far away from danger as possible. That, however, was not true of this driver.
Peabody police received a call Wednesday at 10:19 a.m. from a man who said he was following behind a green Toyota Camry that was "all over the road."
The motorist, judging the driver to be a public danger, managed to get the Camry to pull over on Central Street near Pete's-A-Place and actually took the other driver's keys from him.
An officer arrived at the scene and checked out the reportedly impaired driver. He said that person would be taking a taxi back to Danvers.

While I applaud the driver who took action to stop this dangerous vehicle from harming anyone, I would personally never do something like that. You never know who is behind the wheel, and this situation could have ended very badly for either party. If I were to witness a driver "all over the road" such as this was described, I would call the police, and follow the driver until officers were able to take control of the situation.
