VIDEO: Annual Dodgeball War Stays 'Above the Influence'
The annual dodgeball tournament at Peabody High filled the gymnasium with cheering fans, celebrity referees and of course, colorfully attired players.
The field house was filled with cheering friends and family members Thursday night as 200 Peabody High students engaged in their annual dodgeball war.
This year's tournament was also co-hosted by the Healthy Peabody Collaborative and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy to share more information and awareness of the national "Above the Influence" campaign.
The winners of the tournament then took the court against teams of police officers and firefighters.
Were you in the crowd snapping pictures or video Thursday night? Share them here -- just click that "Upload Photos and Videos" button.

Peabody Patch...thank you for the coverage of this event! The Healthy Peabody Collaborative works to rally community support around the healthy development of young people. The 2013 PVMHS Above the Influence Dodgeball Tournament was a perfect example of why doing this kind of work in Peabody is so rewarding. Many sectors of the community were on hand to make event planning and execution a success. Thank you to you, John Castelluccio, for continuing to cover positive stories around Peabody youth. Changing social norms is an enormous task and if the adults in our community will continue to step up as they have to positively role model for our students and we continue delivering a clear and consistent positive message to our young people, we will shine a light on just how great teenagers are, all while feeding their potential to help them grow to be the best they can be. Pride in Peabody!

As a great coach once said, "If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball." I really enjoyed these videos.
