Snow Emergency Declared in Peabody; On Street Parking Banned Until Further Notice
The city has declared a snow emergency.
Residents can now park on the street overnight during the winter because the city has eliminated its annual parking ban. The ordinance has been replaced with an emergency ban that will go effect whenever a storm is imminent.

This marks a use of the city's new parking policy. Earlier this year, the city switched from fixed parking bans on every winter night to a system of declared snow emergency parking bans.
