Six Juveniles Caught Vandalizing Higgins Middle School Room

A brief summary of arrests, motor vehicle accidents and crimes investigated by city police.

The following is an excerpt from the Peabody Police log from Thursday, March 3 through Sunday, March 6.

Thursday:

  • At 6:09 p.m., police summonsed a Peabody woman for leaving the scene of an accident that happened at Bunghole Liquors on 79 Lowell St.
  • At 7:27 p.m., police reported a past burglary and breaking and entering at a Ravenwood Road residence. It was not clear what items had been taken.
  • At 9:37 p.m., police summonsed a Revere man for larceny after he and four other people allegedly left the Outback Steakhouse restaurant on 300 Andover St. without paying their bill.

  • At 12:45 a.m., police summonsed a Salem man following a motor vehicle stop on 58 Newbury St. and Route 128. The charges are having an unregistered vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
  • At 12:56 a.m., police arrested a Revere man for operating under the influence of liquor in front of Peabody District Court on 1 Lowell St. Mark Demski, 23, of 507 Proctor St., in Revere was charged with OUI-liquor and failure to stop/yield.
  • At 10:30 a.m., police summonsed a Salem man following a motor vehicle stop at the municipal parking lot on Foster Street. The charges are having a revoked registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
  • At 5:40 p.m., police reported a larceny at the Recycle for Hunger Thrift Shop on 20 Howley St. Police reported that $137 in cash was taken.
  • At 6:28 p.m., police arrested a Lynn man following a motor vehicle stop on 43 Lake St. and 97 Winona St. Jamie Gomez, 26, of 15 West Colony Road, Apt. 2, in Lynn, was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop/yield.
  • At 7 p.m., police arrested a Peabody teen for trespassing at 111 Rear Main St. Abner Jose Trinidad, 18, of 8 Lowe St., in Peabody, was charged with that offense.
  • At 1:24 p.m., police summonsed a Lynn man following a motor vehicle stop at Spinelli's at 10 Newbury St. The charges are unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to use care in starting/stopping.
  • At 1:55 p.m., police arrested a Beverly woman and summonsed a Peabody man following a motor vehicle stop at 415 Lowell St. and 415 Baldwin St. Nicole Guidry, 21, of 459 Elliott St., in Beverly, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and marked lanes violation. The Peabody man was summonsed for allowing an unlicensed person to operate a motor vehicle.

Saturday:

  • At 1:21 a.m., police charged a Peabody man with operating under the influence of liquor at 175 Lynn St. and 3 Bartholomew St. Anthony Leo, 27, of 6 Valley Circle, in Peabody, was arrested for that offense and for a marked lanes violation.
  • At 12:29 p.m., police arrested a Peabody man following a traffic stop on Tracey Street for several motor vehicle offenses. Geso Maia Dasilva, 32, of 2 Tremont St., Apt. 1., was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense, having an unregistered motor vehicle, a motor vehicle lights violation, obstructing traffic by stopping and loitering.
  • At 3:13 p.m., police summonsed a Peabody woman following a motor vehicle stop on Spring Street for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
  • Nearly 30 minutes later, police arrested a Peabody woman following a motor vehicle stop at Metro Bowl on 63 Foster St. Elaine Costa, 37, of 154 Lowell St., Apt. 1, in Peabody, was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
  • At 3:45 p.m., police reported vandalism at a Mulberry Road residence where the caller told police the tires on their motor vehicle had been slashed.
  • At 1:51 p.m., police took a Peabody man into protective custody who was involved in a fight behind the Courthouse Pub on 43 Central St.

  • At 1:32 a.m., police reported vandalism at the Brown School on 150 Lynn St. and said there was malicious damage on the grounds. Police said an old printer had been smashed outside the building.
  • At 1:43 a.m., police arrested a Beverly woman following a motor vehicle stop at Chandler's Ice Cream at 86 Andover St. Phyllis D. Rogers, 46, of 551 Cabot St., Apt. 5, in Beverly, was charged with operating a motor vehicle after license was revoked and a marked lanes violation.
  • At 11:09 a.m., police arrested an Everett man following a motor vehicle stop on Centennial Drive near the Route 128 interchange. Ricardo Perreira Gonzaga, 20, of 100 Ferry St., Apt. 6, in Everett, was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and on a warrant issued by Milford District Court for failure to identify himself.
  • At 1:04 p.m., police caught a group of juveniles who had allegedly broken in to a room at Higgins Middle School and had thrown papers all over the room. The juveniles, two of whom were from Beverly and the other four from Peabody, were released to the custody of the parents.
  • At 1:52 p.m., police summonsed two Billerica men and a Tewksbury man for shoplifting at Sears department store at the Northshore Mall.
