PHOTOS: 'Art and Sole' Shows Off Inspired Vintage Footwear

Vintage shoes dating back to the 1920s, '30s and some earlier designs are nicely displayed at both the Peabody Historical Society and the Peabody Art Association gallery located side-by-side on Washington Street.

The Peabody Art Association, in conjunction with the Peabody Historical Society, held an opening reception on Sunday for its latest exhibit, "Art and Sole: Inspired Art of Shoes."

The free exhibit runs through Aug. 31 at 33 Washington St. Gallery hours are Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and the first and third Sundays of each month (same hours).
