Revere Man Nabbed for Shoplifting, Assault and on Five Warrants

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from Jan. 31 - Feb. 1.

Tuesday, Jan. 31

  • 2:36 p.m. A caller at North Shore Community Action Programs reported her purse was stolen. She said it was a black leather hobo bag worth $125 and containing $25 cash, various credit cards, blank checks, Social Security cards, medical/dental insurance cards and two necklaces.
  • 2:37 p.m. Gabriel P. Ramirez, 32, of 104 Grant St. #1, Lynn, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1. He was charged with a subsequent offense of driving with a suspended license.
  • 3:56 p.m. Griffin M. Ward, 28, of 349 Salem St., Revere, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifter at Macy's Men's and Furniture Store. Ward was charged with larceny over $250, two counts of assault and battery, trespassing, a Peabody warrant and four warrants from other districts (Lynn, Woburn and Malden) for additional larceny and shoplifting charges.
  • 4:26 p.m. A caller on Lake Street reported her car was broken into the night before. Twenty dollars in cash and change, a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses and a box of 50 PlayStation games were stolen. The vehicle was left unlocked.
  • 6:18 p.m. A caller on Sophie Road reported a car break-in. A GPS device and phone charger were taken sometime overnight.
  • 10:22 p.m. Anthony F. Ferrier, 46, of 14 Collins St. #22, Peabody, was arrested at his residence, following a report from a caller that her neighbors were yelling, throwing glass and hitting each other. Ferrier was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

  • 7:13 a.m. William Galindez-Perez, 35, of 4 Veterans Memorial Dr., Peabody, was arrested, following a report of a domestic disturbance at Lahey Clinic with a female. Galindez-Perez fled the scene on foot toward Northshore Road and was eventually taken into custody by police. He was charged with domestic assault and battery, intimidating a witness and on a warrant from Peabody District Court on those same charges.
  • 9:29 a.m. A caller at the Torigian Family YMCA reported his backpack was stolen.
