Peabody Boys Headed to State Tourney [PHOTOS]

Gould drains 25, while Girolamo kicks in 14 to lead Peabody in scoring.

And they're in. Defeating Revere on the Tanners' home court Friday night, 67-56, the Peabody boys are now headed to the playoffs for the first time since 2007, and under first-year head coach Thad Broughton.

Leading by only 2 points at the half, the Tanners began the third period on an 11-0 run and maintained the lead right till the end.

Seniors Mike Gould and Steve Girolamo led the scoring for Peabody with 25 points and 14 points, respectively. Gould drained four from the arc.

The regular season is still not over, however; the Tanners have one last showdown at Somerville Feb. 23 (7 p.m.).
