Minter to Represent Peabody in Boys' Hockey All-Star Game
Peabody High senior Chris Minter takes the ice March 30 with the rest of the boys' ice hockey players selected to play in the annual all-star game.
Peabody High senior Chris Minter will represent the Tanners on the ice March 30 in the Mass. State Hockey Coaches Association High School All-Star Classic.
Minter wore No. 24 for Peabody boys' hockey on defense and will be graduating this spring. He was also named to the NEC All-Conference Team and the NEC All-Star team.
The upcoming all-star game will be hosted by the Worcester Sharks and the Shriners at the Worcester DCU Center. The girls, in their inaugural all-star game, take the ice at 1:45 p.m. followed by a 4 p.m. puck drop for the boys.
The contests feature the state’s top 46 high school senior boys and girls from MIAA schools, as selected by the MSHCA. Minter, naturally, will play for Team North.
Fans can actually vote for the starting lineup for all four teams by texting the last name of a player to 74499. Voting concludes March 13 at 11:59 p.m. The starting lineups will then be announced March 15.
This is the fourth annual boys' All-Star Classic. Admission is $11 in advance and $16 at the door. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m.
To purchase tickets, call the Sharks front office at 508-929-0500. You can also check MSHCA website in the coming days for further information.
