As an undecided voter in this race, I have to say I'm not sure if this helped or hurt Rep Speliotis cause. I was already questioning what value he has provided me here in Peabody and I can see from the questions that others share my concern.
The Higgins project was clearly driven by Mayor Bettencourt. In fact, I find it disingenuous that Speliotis is attempting to take credit for this. This school (like many others in Peabody) is a disgrace. And guess what, it was a disgrace 10 years ago too. How come you didn't push for a new school then?
And where is the funds to support our downtown flooding issue? Or revitalizing Rt. 1 or downtown? What exactly have you accomplished in the 10+ yrs you've been in office?
