How much snow has fallen in Peabody so far this winter, you ask? 77.6 inches says Public Services Director Bob Langley.
Tuesday's storm left Peabody covered in 9.5 inches of snow, said Langley, and that's not long after more than a foot buried Peabody on March 8.
With scant reprieve since February's blizzard and a few more major storms in the past 1-1/2 months, the National Weather Service says this is the third snowiest February and March on record for the Boston area.
Have no doubt, winter is officially over (the first day of Spring was March 20), but the snow, apparently, is not.
Today's forecast calls for 1-3 inches of snow across the region this afternoon and evening. Peabody may only see an inch at most, according to the National Weather Service.
