Father, Son Take Late Night Perusal at BMW Dealership
The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
The following excerpts are from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from Feb. 3-5.
Friday, Feb. 3
- 3:36 p.m. Security at Nordstrom's reported a past shoplifting. A male, approximately in his mid-30s, entered the store and grabbed two hooded sweatshirts and two jackets before fleeing outside and escaping in a blue Honda Accord.
- 7:45 p.m. Police responded to a past car break-in on Main Street near the Sugar Cane Restaurant. The rear window was broken and an iPad was stolen.
- 9:29 p.m. Police received a call that someone was smoking marijuana inside the building at 7 Central St. An officer reported he was unable to locate which apartment the marijuana smell was coming from.
Saturday, Feb. 4
- 1:20 a.m. Nancy E. Carson, 54, of 6 Goodridge St., Peabody, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, following a two-car accident on Main Street near Tedeschi's Food Shops. She was also charged with failure to use care in operation. No injuries were reported.
- 1:23 a.m. A security guard at BMW of Peabody on Route 114 reported an alarm was triggered on the back lot of the dealership. Police said a father and son were looking at cars. They were sent on their way and told to return when the dealership was open for business.
- 3:40 a.m. Police received a report of suspicious activity behind World Class Billiards on Route 1 -- two people were walking around the rear of the parking lot. Police said they were going through the trash and were sent on their way back to the Plaza Motel, where they were staying.
- 10:14 a.m. A caller at a Central Street apartment reported a possible phone scam.
- 1:40 p.m. Employees at the Dunkin' Donuts on Route 1 North reported a male and female were causing a disturbance. Police said the pair was kicked out of a hotel and didn't have anywhere else to go. An officer offered them several types of assistance, but they refused any help from the police and left the store on foot.
- 2 p.m. A Heath Road resident reported some check's were stolen, forged and cashed.
- 2:55 p.m. A female reported her iPhone 4 was stolen while at the YMCA.
- 3:16 p.m. Jessey K. Sandoval-Aldana, 30, of 455 Western Ave. #2, Lynn, was arrested on Centennial Drive, following a motor vehicle stop. Sandoval-Aldana was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to yield at an intersection and giving a false name to a police officer.
- 3:27 p.m. A child fell and hit his or her head at the Skate Park on Perkins Street. The child was transported to North Shore Children's Hospital and the mother was notified by police.
- 4:29 p.m. A caller on Woodbridge Road reported two people were in his backyard and possibly involved in drug activity. Police said they were the same people causing a problem at Dunkin' Donuts earlier. This time, they were complaining of medical conditions, so EMTs checked them out.
- 6:41 p.m. A 30-year-old Medford man was issued a summons for shoplifting at Macy's Mens' and Furniture Store.
Sunday, Feb. 5
- 1:28 a.m. Stephen R. Frisone, 30, of 64 Foster St. #101, Peabody, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1 near Spinelli's. He was also charged with a marked lanes violation.
- 2:13 a.m. A caller reported two unwanted males were inside his girlfriend's apartment on Sabino Farm Road. Police said there was a male at the apartment looking for the female's boyfriend.
