Emergency Parking Ban Lifted in Peabody
You can now park on the street again and not worry about getting a ticket or towed.
After more than four straight days, the emergency parking ban is finally over.
Peabody police shared the, no doubt, welcome news with residents via an automated notice Tuesday afternoon.
The message was simple and to the point: "The city of Peabody parking ban has been rescinded effective immediately."
The ban on on-street parking was first declared Friday morning, hours before the weekend blizzard rolled into Peabody.
And for what it's worth, there is a slight chance of snow headed this way Wednesday night and Thursday.
