Chilly Dip for Man Cleaning Snow From Duck Pond
Amid the storm-related accidents Friday, a resident took a spill into a duck pond in his yard as he clearing away snow.
A South Peabody resident inadvertently took a chilly dip in a pond behind his house Friday afternoon.
Peabody police and EMS responded to a report of a man in a pond off Bartholomew Street around 2:20 p.m. The man was able to get out of the water by himself and was met by officers at 229 Bartholomew St.
According to reports, he told police he was cleaning snow out a duck pond in his backyard when he fell in.
Officers were cleared from the scene around 2:30 p.m. The man was taken to Beverly Hospital.
