Chart: How Many People Are Divorced?

Wondering what the divorce rate is in your community?

 

This week's chart focuses on community-by-community divorce rates. While the rates may vary across the state, Massachusetts as a whole, has the lowest divorce rate in the country. 

Locally, Lynn had the highest number of divorces over a five year period whereas Topsfield had the least with just 47 divorces recorded over five years.

I was once talking to a resident of a wealthy Main costal community.

He said most people there name their boats after their wives.

But, he said the names are applied using velcro. :)
