Assault Charge Sought for Peabody Teen in Incident at High School

The following excerpts are from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from Feb. 2-3.
Thursday, Feb. 2
- 3:42 p.m. A caller at a Washington Street apartment reported the cable box was stolen.
- 5:15 p.m. Moses J. Morales, 23, of 30A Blaney Ave., Peabody, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop at the corner of Lynn Street and Linden Road. He was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
- 5:19 p.m. Elizabeth Luna, 32, of 12 Summit Ave., Chelsea, was arrested, following a report of an unwanted person at a Broad Street home who was refusing to leave. Police said Luna was gone when they arrived, but the caller reported she had returned later. Luna was charged with malicious destruction of property over $250 and breaking and entering into a motor vehicle for a misdemeanor. The caller said she had damaged the house and a car.
- 8:08 p.m. Nathanial G. Lees, 26, of 45 Sherman St., Revere, was arrested on a warrant at the Northshore Mall. Police received a report that a man recently fired from Sears was trying to sell jewelry at a cash for gold stand in the mall and there was suspicion that the jewelry was stolen from Sears. There were still store tags on the items being pawned. The warrant charges for Lees were for unrelated motor vehicle violations.
- 8:36 p.m. Marie E. Nelson, 48, of 6 Highland Pk. #1, Peabody, was arrested at her residence for domestic assault and battery, following a report of a disturbance.
Friday, Feb. 3
- 1:37 a.m. Alexander A. Delaia, 25, of 544 Saratoga St. #1, East Boston, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop at the corner of Foster and Washington streets. He was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
- 4:03 a.m. A caller reported a male was walking around the parking lot of the Logan Express and approached a female who was inside her car, but then walked off into the woods when the female said she would call the police. The female left before officers arrived and there were no suspicious males to be found.
- 9:23 a.m. A female reported the theft of her clothing, involving a male who lives on Lisa Road. She said the man had three leather jackets, six pairs of boots, 10 other jackets and a scale -- all hers -- and he refused to return them to her. She said he also had other items, but she couldn't prove those were hers as well -- a laptop computer and a DVD player. Police advised her to go to Peabody District Court and file a complaint. The woman called back and added her law books to the list.
- 10:13 a.m. A caller at the Tannin Corporation on Walnut Street reported some employees were threatened by a passerby. Police said the victim was a female taxi driver, who was currently on the road, but was instructed to call the station when she returned. Police then received a call from "a very upset person" who identified himself and said he had an altercation at a taxi stand in Peabody. The man then proceeded to use racial slang and made threats regarding those people.
- 11:47 a.m. A 17-year-old Peabody female was issued a court summons for assault, following a report of a past incident at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School.
- 12:07 p.m. A caller at A/M Paving on Birney Street reported someone shot out two windows on a company truck with a BB gun.
