- The deadline for registering to vote in the Sept. 6 state primary is Friday. The City Clerk's office will be open from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Readers' Choice: You only have up until Friday before the stroke of midnight to vote for your favorite places in Peabody.
- The Jim Rice Memorial Softball Tournament starts Saturday at Marrs Park. The brackets are set with teams of local police and fire departments and EMS services over both Saturday and Sunday, but volunteers may still be needed on both days to help keep things running smoothly.
