26 Recent Arrests Span Cases of OUI, Drugs, Thefts and Assaults

The following information was provided by the Peabody Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are excerpts from reports in the press Log from Nov. 3-6.

Thursday, Nov. 3

  • 7:17 p.m. Police responded to a report of theft involving . Jesus R. McKinney, 24, of 76 Bridge St. #2, Salem, and Jose Martinez, 24, of 75 Neponset St. #1, Revere were both arrested for larceny over $250. Martinez was charged on two counts of theft. Police said Sears recovered all its property.
  • 9:33 p.m. Severino R. Garofalo, 20, of 121 Grandview Ave., Revere, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop at the corner of Andover Drive and Andover Street. He was charged with distribution of a Class B drug and on warrant out of Lynn District Court. A 21-year-old Malden man was also issued a summons for distribution of a Class D drug.

Friday, Nov. 4

  • 6:44 a.m. Andre Bennett, 27, of 7 Esquire Cir. #2, Peabody, was arrested at his residence, following a report of a domestic disturbance. He was charged with domestic assault and battery. A female was transported to Salem Hospital.
  • 12:38 p.m. Kenneth Valentine, 31, and Lisa Fronduto, 33, both of 12 Pope St. #B906, Salem, were arrested, following a report of two past thefts at . Valentine was charged on two warrants while Fronduto was charged with larceny over $250.
  • 3:02 p.m. Police discovered a Honda parked at the that was stolen from Beverly. The car did not appear to be damaged and Beverly police were notified. While recovering the car, officers at the scene spotted two suspicious males in the area. The pair was subsequently arrested by state police for the theft of the Honda. No further details were immediately available on the two men.
  • 3:05 p.m. Joseph J. Trevisone, 53, of 261 Newbury St. #33B, Peabody, was arrested, following a report of a disturbance in the Hess gas station parking lot on Lowell Street. Trevisone was charged with larceny over $250 and breaking into a car for a felony. Police said he was trying to steal a purse from a car in the lot outside .
  • 3:50 p.m. Jonathan Candilieri, 28, of 52 Roslyn St. #2, Salem, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifting at . He was charged with larceny over $250 and on a warrant from Lynn District Court.
  • 5:44 p.m. Three men were arrested for drug possession, following a motor vehicle stop at . August W. Rouge, Jr., 21, of 500 Northshore Rd. #8, Peabody, was charged with possession of a Class B drug and possession with intent to distribute. John T. Doucette, 21, of 35-1/2 Lynn St., Peabody, and Benjamin S. Goodwin, 25, of 19 Mill St., North Reading, were both charged with possession of a Class B drug.
  • 5:46 p.m. Robert W. Crean, 49, of 17 Rockway Rd., Peabody, was arrested at his residence for assault.
  • 5:57 p.m. Fernando T. DaSilva, 50, of 14 Aborn St., Peabody, was arrested for domestic assault and battery and intimidating a witness, following a report of a past domestic.
  • 7:33 p.m. Leonard J. Bradley, 35, of 62 Water St., Danvers, was arrested, following a two-car accident at the corner of Lynnfield Street and Dooling Circle. There were no personal injuries and Bradley was charged with his second offense of driving under the influence of alcohol.
  • 11:09 p.m. Peter R. Hurley, 51, of 111R Main St. #1, Peabody, was arrested on Foster Street near after an officer reported a vehicle refused to stop for police and the driver then attempted to flee on foot. Hurley was charged with his fourth offense of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a revoked license, failure to stop for police, resisting arrest, two counts of failure to stop, making threats and a marked lanes violation.
  • 11:20 p.m. James C. Hall, 37, of 1702 Broughton Dr., Beverly, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1. Hall was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper display of license plates and no valid inspection sticker.

Saturday, Nov. 5

  • 12:24 a.m. Scott Deharo, 36, of 4 Mill St. #7, Peabody, was arrested at his residence, following a report of an assault. He was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (a beer bottle). Police initially responded to the scene about an hour earlier on a report of a disturbance. A resident said he heard some type of disturbance and when he looked outside he was threatened by one of the people involved. Police said the caller was highly intoxicated, however, and wasn't making sense. He was told to go to bed. About an hour later, a caller reported he was threatened by a neighbor and Deharo was ultimately taken into custody.
  • 8:53 a.m. Rodolfo Peralta-Solano, 38, of 58 Carnes St. #1, Lynn, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Lynn Street. He was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, defective equipment and on a warrant.
  • 11:49 a.m. David Paglia, 45, of 14 King St., Peabody, was arrested following a report of a shoplifting at . Paglia was charged with larceny over $250 and driving with an expired license.
  • 4:59 p.m. Ceberiano Mendez, 30, of 65 Johnson St. #3, Lynn, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1. Mendez was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and no valid inspection sticker.
  • 6:43 p.m. William P. Fitzgerald, 51, of 286 Newbury St. #8, Peabody, was arrested at his residence for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after police responded to a report of a family dispute.
  • 8:20 p.m. Nicole M. Rubano, 20, of 11 Pyburn Ave., Salem, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop at the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and Russell Street. She was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant from Salem District Court on charges of witness intimidation, breaking and entering and assault and battery.

Sunday, Nov. 6

  • 12:33 a.m. Jelver Rameriz, 23, of 28R Washington St., Lynn, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop at the . He was charged with a marked lanes violation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
  • 1:27 a.m. Marlo J. Corliss, 33, of 14 Holten St. #2, Peabody, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street. Corliss was charged with driving with a suspended license and on a warrant from Woburn District Court.
