The Joy of Getting Things Done Lecture at Library

  • December 19, 2011

The Peabody Institute Library will host “The Joy of Getting Things Done,” a lecture presented by life coach Linda King, Monday, Jan. 23, 7 p.m., at the Main Library, 82 Main St.

Is life controlling? Struggling to keep up with everyday demands and challenges? The problem is often not a lack of willpower or self-discipline; it’'s a lack of having effective systems in place. “The Joy of Getting Things Done” teaches systems, skills and strategies for meeting goals, getting organized and using time most effectively.

By the end of the evening, participants will have a ‘toolbox’ of strategies for accomplishing important, but daunting projects, and incorporating effective new habits into daily routines. Successful people have systems in place to manage life’s logistical challenges. “The Joy of Getting Things Done” teaches these systems.

King is a life coach who helps clients with the logistics of their lives. These logistics includes getting schedules, living spaces and other commitments under control. She specializes in planning, organization and time management. When coaching clients, King draws on prior experience as an educator, software programmer, software project leader and owner of her own software company. She has been successfully coaching people for much of her adult life and opened a formal coaching practice in early 2010.

This program is generously funded by the Friends of the Peabody Institute Libraries.
