Tanners Swimming and Diving won against Danvers, 97-83, at the Torigian Family YMCA in Peabody on Jan. 10.
Winning events for the Tanners were the boys 200-yard medley relay team of Alex Guay, Pat Jwansowski, Zack Melville and Alex Strakosha with a time of 1:54.32, which qualified for MIAA North Sectionals -- this relay team also went on to win the 200-freestyle relay (1:45.30).
Strakosha won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:08.47 and the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.17), while his sister, Maria, won the 100-yard freestyle (59.44) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.95).
Tanners Divers Paige Hayward and Corey Pierce came first and second, with 161.40 and 143.65 points, respectively.
Christine Shea won the 200-yard freestyle (2:14.78) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:08.91), and Guay won the 50-yard freestyle (25.14).
The girl’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Meghan Lurvey, Nina Papacostas, Shea and Maria Strakosha qualified for the MIAA North Sectionals with a time of 1:59.06.
The Tanners, still undefeated at 4-0-1, will be away at Lynn Classical on Jan. 18.
