Peabody Farmers Market Manager Talks Local Food at Salem State

  • January 30, 2012

Families, restaurants and businesses on the North Shore are increasingly buying their food locally. On Thursday, Jan. 26, Peabody Farmers Market Manager Pam Lombardini joined a panel at the Enterprise Center at Salem State University to discuss the trend with over 100 food and business enthusiasts.

Along with chef/owner Antonio Bettencourt of 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar in Salem, CEO/founder of SideKim Foods Peter Mikedis and Farm Manager Andrew Rogers of Green Meadows Farm in Hamilton, Lombardini engaged the crowd in a discussion on the future of local food on the North Shore, in Massachusetts and the country as a whole.

The panel was led by Enterprise Center CEO Christine Sullivan and co-sponsored by the Mass. Small Business Development Center.
