The Crusaders had their season opener against fellow conference member, the Arlington Catholic Cougars on Dec. 17.

Top Performances:

• Sophomore Carson Christuk had first place finishes in both the 200 IM (2:02.09) and the 500 Freestyle (5:06.03).
• Bishop Fenwick's 200 Free Relay came in first, 1:58.00: Ben Kaupp (Jr.), Matthew O'Brien (Sr.), Pablo Jimenez (Fr.), Bridgette Townsend (Jr.)
• Christuk qualified for states in both the 200 IM and 500 Freestyle.
• Juniors Linsey Andrews and Townsend qualified for Girls North Sectionals, Andrews in the 100 Back and Townsend in the 200 IM.

Fenwick's next meet is at home (the Salem YMCA) on Sunday, Jan. 6 against Austin Prep. 2:30 p.m.
